About Pierre Cardin

The Story of Pierre Cardin

Mr Cardin was born in Venice, Italy on 2 July 1922. At two years of age, he moved with his family to Vichy in France. When his home was bombarded in the Second World War and all his family members were forced to leave for different alien places, the 20-year-old Cardin arrived at the center of Europe - Paris alone and empty-handed. Mr Cardin's earliest work was making set and garments for the movie- The Beauty and the Beast.

In 1950, Mr Cardin finally set up a garment company in his own name before launching his first fashion show in 1953, thereby formally establishing his career as a designer.

He made use of the box pattern, V and H styles, and daring and clever line division, as well as matched classical pure colors such as black, red and white together.

This novel fashion style shows Mr Cardin's design essence. Through almost 20 years of persistent endeavors, Mr Cardin finally realized his dream, he was awarded the GOLD THIMBLE, the top prize in French fashion design, three times.

It is a great honor for a designer to receive such a prize and indeed very few people are able to receive such a tribute three times over like Mr Cardin.

Until today, no one has been able to surpass this achievement of Mr Cardin. In 1992, Mr Cardin was chosen as the only fashion designer to enter the French Academy, laying the foundation for Mr Cardin as the top fashion master of the World

The unique brand style is shown vividly in Pierre Cardin writing instruments with elegant patterns and noble taste, showing infinite charm. With exquisite workmanship, each item will bring out the unique quality in you.

The Nib of the Pen

The nib of the Pierre Cardin pen is supplied by German professional pen manufacturers. It adopts the high-tech K-plating technique and is burnished by hand. The function of the Pen nib is made much better with the plating of rare metal on the surface. Iridium pen is one of the products with excellent quality and passed strict writing tests. The ink flow is smooth and even and the pen is durable.

The Barrel of the Pen

In order to satisfy the diverse demands of customers, the barrel of each Pierre Cardin pen utilizes different materials and workmanship. To meet the demand of different people, the metallic surface of the barrel is especially treated, painted, electroplated, engraved or roll-pressed with attractive designs and patterns. The non-metallic barrels are environmentally friendly materials that are non-toxic and non-radiation. When combined with exquisite workmanship, each pen is elegant and a masterpiece of its own.

The Clip of the Pen

The clips of Pierre Cardin pens are processed by a renowned factory. With excellent flexibility and durability, the pen can be clipped conveniently onto pockets and does not easily fall off. The elegant and fashionable design effectively showcases a unique and exquisite style.

Electroplated Parts

Electroplated parts are made of processed pure copper materials so as to ensure a high level of adhesiveness. Some parts adopted the aerospace-tech titanium electroplating process, with the surface bearing an appearance of pure gold, making it long-wearing and easily frayed.

The feeder and the Ink Converter

These are two key parts relevant to the writing function of a pen. In order to create the superior function of the pen, the designer carried out tests and measurements on the writing, absorbency, durability and many other factors of the pen. High-quality feeders and ink converters are subsequently selected to match each particular pen so as to ensure good writing function and excellent quality of the pen.

The Refill of the Pen

The refill and the ink of Pierre Cardin pens are from the USA, Germany and Switzerland. The ink flow is so even and smooth that it can last you for a long time. It also does not dry up easily and the quality is excellent.

All Pierre Cardin pens use standard ink converters, ink cartridges and refills that are internationally accepted
